Let the Scripture Work for You

Proverbs 18:10-The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe.

Isaiah 41:10 - So do not Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

2 Timothy 1:7 - For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and self-control.

Proverbs 29:25 - The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.

Let the Scriptures Work for you against Fear -  Father God, please help me not to live in fear. Calm my thoughts and emotions and open my heart to your peace, comfort, and wisdom. Please reduce the feelings of fear and anxiety that plague me. Help me rest in You and trust You as I navigate through this broken world in Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Hebrews 4:12. For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Isaiah 55:11. so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Romans 15:13: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Psalm 34:17-18: “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”

Matthew 11:28: Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Romans 15:13: May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

AGAINST LONELINESS

Psalm 23:4: Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Psalm 27:10 ~ For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will take me in.

Deuteronomy 31:6 ~ Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.

John 14:18 ~  “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

Psalm 68:5-6 ~ Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation. God settles the solitary in a home; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land

Let the Scriptures Work for You against Loneliness. Father God, thank you for your word that has let me know that you are always with me and that I am not alone in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

Lamentations 3:21-23 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Psalm 143:7-8 Answer me quickly, Lord; my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me or I will be like those who go down to the pit. Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life.

John 16:33: I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.

Let the Scriptures work for you me against Despair. Father God, please reduce the feelings of despair, fear, and anxiety that plague me. Help me rest in You and trust You as I navigate through this broken world in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Micah 7.8-Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.

Psalm 37:23-24 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.

Psalm 145:14 He helps those who are in trouble; he lifts those who have fallen.
